In couples therapy or a group session not everyone always comes. So for each appointment you can decide whether alerts go to all members or only to the person who attends.
In short
Reminders always go to both members of the couple. You choose who receives confirmations, changes and cancellations in the patient’s record, using the circle next to each member, and you can change it at any time. When booking, the Don’t notify the partner checkbox keeps the appointment for the person attending only, and if you have two prices set, the individual price applies.
Choose who receives the alerts in the record
When the couple signs the informed consent, the first person to sign up is the one who receives confirmations, changes and cancellations by default.
To change it, open the patient’s record and click the circle next to the member who should receive them. You can change it at any time. Reminders don’t depend on this choice: they always go to both.
Book the appointment and decide whether to notify the partner
When booking, select the patient and their session type (couple or group session). Look at the Don’t notify the partner checkbox:
- Unticked (default): the appointment is joint. Both members are notified.
- Ticked: the appointment is only for the person attending. The rest of the group receives no alerts about that session.
If you have two prices set, ticking the box applies the individual price automatically.

Do the same for group sessions
Group sessions work the same way: if the whole group attends, leave the box unticked and everyone receives alerts. If only part of the group attends, tick Don’t notify the partner so nobody else is notified, and the price you’ve set for that situation applies.
An example
You have a couple with a joint price of 70 € and an individual price of 50 €. One day only Patient 2 comes: you book the appointment, tick Don’t notify the partner and the price drops to 50 €. Patient 1 receives nothing about that session. The following week both come: you book without ticking the box and 70 € is charged.
Be careful with individual sessions
If you tick the box, the rest of the couple or group won’t know about that appointment. Only use it when the session is genuinely individual within the therapy.
