A psychologist doesn’t only have therapy sessions. You may also teach classes, write expert reports, run master’s courses or provide other services. For those cases there’s the manual appointment: an appointment for a client who is not a patient, which you still need to invoice.
In short
A manual appointment isn’t a session with a patient: it’s a service for a client, such as a class or an expert report. It’s created like a normal appointment and invoiced the same way, from Invoices.
When to use it
- Classes, courses or master’s programmes where the student isn’t your patient.
- Expert reports or opinions for a third party.
- Any professional service that isn’t a therapy session and that you want to charge and invoice.
How it’s invoiced
A manual appointment is invoiced like any other: it appears under Invoices → From Appointments, where you select it, generate its draft and issue it as explained in the guide Generate and download invoices in batches. You don’t need to keep a separate invoice.

This guide explains the concept and the invoicing flow. The exact steps to create the manual appointment in the calendar will be added once they’ve been checked against screenshots of the app.
